17 Asset Management (17AM) is a new kind of asset management firm that provides investment opportunities to meet our client’s financial and social goals. To do so, we structure our business around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Achieving these Global Goals will create a world that is economically prosperous, environmentally secure, socially fair, and more inclusive.
The Communications Fellow will be based in our New York office and will report to the Director of Operations, Holly Garrett. Key activities will include:
Support the development and execution of a content plan for website, social media, and e-mail marketing.
Support the development and execution of a distribution strategy for content, including content placement across publications, including short op-eds as well as longer reports.
Draft press releases, and edit blogs, publications, op-eds, and other outreach materials.
Design and update branded outreach material, including powerpoints, brochures, social media banners, infographics.
Support social media management: including drafting and scheduling posts, monitoring social media channels, and producing original campaigns.
Prepare e-newsletters for distribution.
Regularly update our website.
Contribute to and document the development of a branding strategy for the firm.

We are seeking a candidate that meets most/all of the following attributes and skills:
Has earned a degree or is working towards a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital & Mass Media, or a related field.
Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
Must be self-driven and able to work in an independent environment.
Creativity and willingness to ask questions.
Experience developing social media campaigns.
Experience developing or designing slide decks, reports, or other material for distribution.
Experience developing infographics.
A familiarity with investment and international development terminology is preferred.
